This method works if you have less than 20 listings. If you have over 20 listings, use our extension's auto-fetch.
Step 4: Configure Auto-Reply in Your Dashboard
Click into any imported listing in My Listings and fill in Description and Instruction.
Description is about your item — the price, condition, pickup location, and anything product-specific. Instruction tell the AI how you want to convert — schedule a call, ask for a phone number, direct buyers to your website, etc.
Two ways to handle replies
The AI writes replies based on your description and guidelines. Best for most sellers — flexible and conversational.
Pre-written sequential replies. Perfect if you want full control over every message the bot sends.
Step 5: Turn On Follow-Ups (Optional)
Follow-Ups automatically re-engage buyers who stopped replying. Click Follow-ups in the sidebar and set one or more delays (for example, 24 hours and 3 days). Write a short nudge message for each one. The bot sends them on schedule — only if the buyer has gone silent — and stops the moment they reply.
Why it matters: Most Facebook Marketplace buyers go quiet after one or two messages. A single follow-up message can recover a meaningful percentage of those conversations without any extra work from you.
This step is optional. Your auto-reply setup works perfectly without follow-ups — add them later any time.
Step 6: Test in Chat Playground
Open Chat Playground from the sidebar. Pick one of your listings and pretend to be a buyer. Ask the questions you hear most — "Is this still available?", "What's your lowest price?", "Can I pick up today?". Nothing is sent to Facebook from here, so it's completely safe to experiment.

Step 7: Open the Extension & Go Live
Open the extension, login your email, then click 'Go to Facebook Messages'.
