Facebook Marketplace Auto Reply for Real Estate

The problem every real estate agent hits on Facebook Marketplace

List a rental property on Facebook Marketplace and you'll notice something strange: you never typed a title. Facebook generates it from the property facts — "2 Beds 2 Baths Apartment" — and there is no field to change it.

That's fine with one property. But list five two-bed apartments across town and you now have five listings with the exact same name. Different addresses, different prices, different photos — identical titles.

Now a buyer messages you at 11:47 PM:

"Hi! Is the 2 bed 2 bath still available?"

Which one? You can't tell from the title — and neither can any auto-reply tool that matches conversations to listings by title. It will guess, and answer the buyer with the rent, address, or viewing time of the wrong property. One wrong answer and that lead is gone.

The fix: match by Facebook's item ID, not the title

Here's the thing the title hides: every Marketplace listing carries a unique item ID — the long number in the listing's URL. Two identical-looking apartments have two different item IDs, always.

GetReplyNow uses that. When a buyer messages you about a listing, we identify the conversation by item ID first, so the AI answers with the details of the exact property the buyer clicked on — even when every title on your page says "2 Beds 2 Baths Apartment".

Watch the whole thing in 90 seconds:

Setting it up (5 minutes, one rule that matters)

  1. Install the GetReplyNow Chrome extension and sign in.
  2. Import your listings — don't type them in. Open the extension on Facebook Marketplace and click Import Listings. It fetches every active listing with its description, price, photos and — the important part — its item ID.
  3. Go live. The AI replies from your business info plus each property's own details.

The one rule for real estate: always use the import. A listing added by hand has no item ID, so it falls back to title matching — exactly what breaks with identical titles. You can verify everything is linked in your dashboard under Settings → Each listing: imported listings show a green ID badge.

What the AI actually handles for you

  • Availability — "Is it still available?" answered instantly, for the right property, at any hour
  • The repetitive questions — pets, parking, utilities, lease length, move-in date, pulled from that property's description
  • Viewings — proposes times and collects the buyer's phone number, so you wake up to booked appointments instead of cold leads
  • Smart Conditions — your own rules, like "if the buyer gives a phone number, notify me immediately" or "don't negotiate rent"

Agents tell us the night-and-weekend coverage alone pays for it: rental inquiries peak after work hours, exactly when nobody is at a desk to reply.

Same problem, same fix: vehicles

Facebook generates vehicle titles too — "2020 Chevrolet Traverse LT" says nothing about which of your three Traverses a buyer means. If you also deal in cars, the car dealer setup works identically: import with the extension, match by item ID.

Try it on your own listings

The free plan covers your first listings, no card required. Install the extension and import your properties — five minutes from now, the next "is it still available?" answers itself, correctly.
